On April 30, the winter season began in the Torres del Paine National Park. The novelties of this season are that the Refugio Grey is added to the already available Paine Grande and Hostería Pehoé.

The season is from May 1st to September 30th, 2018.

All units of the National System of Protected Wildlife Areas (SNASPE) are available for conducting recreational activities or profit capturing images, whether in video, film and / or photographs. These can range from personal projects, documentaries, feature films and commercial advertising.

Although pumas might potentially be seen in many parts of the park, the best areas, not surprisingly, correlate to the areas that support the highest densities of guanacos – their main prey species.

These areas lie mainly on the eastern side of the park and to the north of Lake Sarmiento, and cover both land within the national park boundaries and private ranch land.

During your stay in Torres del Paine, these will be the areas you have to concentrate your puma watching efforts, as well as making excursions to other parts.
