THE NEW BOOKING SYSTEM FOR 2018-2019 STILL NOT AVAILABLE. THE STARTING DATES WILL BE ANNOUNCED OPPORTUNELY THROUGH OUR WEBSITE AND OTHER SOCIAL NETWORKS.

Given the high demand of visitors who want to walk in the mountains of the park, it has become necessary to establish restrictions to protect the facilities of each campsite, in order to protect the natural resources of the park. In order to spend the night in the campsites and refugios (shelters) it is OBLIGATORY to have a reservation. If you are planning to walk on the W trail or Circuit Macizo Paine follow the following recommendations.

  1. Plan well your vacation and clearly define the dates you plan to be in the park and your itinerary with exact dates for each campsite. If you have concerns consult the section “planifique su viaje” on the website www.parquetorresdelpaine.cl. There you can download the official map to know the approximate time you need to get from campsite to campsite.
  2. According to the itinerary of the trails, you need to reserve more than one campsite. This reservation system is only for the free CONAF campsites. To make reservations for other private campsites and refugios (shelters) you can consult www.verticepatagonia.cl and www.fantasticosur.com.
  3. If you do not make reservations for all the campsites that you want to visit, you need to change your itinerary according to the reservations that you were able to make. Remember, with out reservations, you can not spend the night in the refugios (shelter) or campsites. 
You do not need special reservations to enter the park. Remember that the reservations are necessary to spend the night in the campsites or refugios (shelter) not to walk on the trails.

Then you may reserve accommodations only for the CONAF campsites: Paso and Italiano. Those are free and therefore provide only basic services (space for the tent, bathrooms, and shelter to cook). If you need a reservation for more than one night at these campsites do the process again. 

IMPORTANT: Make your reservation, you should bring a printed copy of the email that you received. This will be the document that allows you to pass through the control areas and have access to the W trail and the Circuit Macizo Paine. Also, you can bring the email on your cell phone (smartphone).

Winter season at Torres del Paine 2018

On April 30, the winter season began in the Torres del Paine National Park. The novelties of this season are that the Refugio Grey is added to the already available Paine Grande and Hostería Pehoé.

The season is from May 1st to September 30th, 2018.

Remember that you need also reservations for the campsites or shelters in Torres del Paine.

There are three different agencies (CONAF, Vertice, Fantástico Sur) that offer campsites and shelters in Torres del Paine National Park. The campsites you need to reserve will depend on your route and budget.

I recommend trying to make reservations at the same time since the three agencies are not connected, which makes it very difficult to coordinate them.

How to book campsites in Torres del Paine

There are three different agencies (CONAF, Vertice, Fantástico Sur) that offer campsites and shelters in Torres del Paine National Park. The campsites you need to reserve will depend on your route and budget.

You can either wait and book your campsites in person in Puerto Natales (very limited availability) or book online, alternate between corresponding websites.

 

Notice

  • It’s mandatory to have advance reservations for all the campsites along the W Trek and the O Circuit. Printed vouchers may be required at designated checkpoints on the trail.
  • The O Circuit can only be traveled counterclockwise.

Campamento Torres (mandatory booking January and February 2018)

If you are wondering how to book at Campamento Torres for January & February 2018 to see the sunrise at the base of Torres del Paine, here is the official information from CONAF:

“Remember that during January and February, you need a booking to stay at Campamento Torres. You can book in Puerto Natales, at CONAF’s Provincial Office or in the park, at the Porteria Laguna Amarga entrance or at CONAF’s Campamento Italiano. Bookings must be done in person and are operated on a first-come-first-served policy. If the campground is full, we suggest you plan your trip staying at Campamento Chileno or Camping Las Torres. “

Torres del Paine Reserva Obligatoria / Mandatory Reservation

A partir de Septiembre de 2016, para alojar en los sectores del Circuito W y Circuito Paine, será necesaria la reserva previa de los alojamientos en los sectores de Montaña y de Fantástico Sur (Refugios y Campings).

Esto para controlar los flujos de visitantes al Parque Nacional. Si ingresas al parque sin reserva previa podría no haber disponibilidad.

No olvides reservar con anticipación !!

Si llegas sin reserva al Parque y a los accesos de Estancia Cerro Paine (Centro de Bienvenida y acceso sector Francés), donde se encuentran los Refugios de Fantástico Sur, será posible gestionar la reserva, sin embargo:  Podría no haber disponibilidad.

El valor de los servicios contratados directamente en el Centro de Bienvenida y acceso sector Francés, tendrá un 20% de recargo. 

Quienes lleguen directo a los campamentos de montaña, sin pasar por los accesos, deberán pagar un adicional de un 100%.

 

From the beginning of this season, it will be a “must” to book in advance all the accommodations at Fantástico Sur (Refugios & Camping Sites) because the amount of people along the trails in the W Trek & Paine Circuit will be managed, according to the maximum capacity for each place.

If you arrive into the park without bookings, there could not be availability.

Do not forget to book in advance!

If you arrive into the park and to the entrance to Estancia Cerro Paine (Welcome Center & Francés entrance), where the accommodations of Fantástico Sur are located, without previous reservation, it will be possible to book, but it is important you consider that:  There could not be availability

Prices will be 20% higher if booked directly at the “Welcome Center” and Francés Access.  Prices booked directly in the accommodation (if you don ́t make it at the Welcome Center) will be the double.
